As a species, we could predict the compositions of grand stellar objects millions of light-years away, the intricate interaction between atoms with their subatomic particles and even decode some the long and complex code written in each individual's DNA.
We know a lot about the world around us, yet the most intimate and immediate phenomenon, consciousness seems to be the greatest mystery of all. With it being the most complex mechanism discovered in the universe so far,  it was likely to be one of the first ponders of evolution's first waves of philosophical thinking and could likely be one of the last.

With a near similar amount of neurons in our brain as there are galaxies in the known universe, it is hard to argue that the reality inside our minds isn't a complex universe of unfathomable possibility and intangible mystery, all encoded within an abstract symbolism and subjective meaning.
